María José Esteban and Fernando Escura, partners of Bufete Escura, participate in the Biennial Congress of the International Bar Association (IBA) in Mexico, held from March 14th to 16th.

The main theme of the Congress was the role of lawyers, especially in Latin America. Among the conferences, it is worth highlighting the one made by Maria José Esteban on the future of the legal profession and legal services. In this session also participated Fernando Pelaez-Pier, honorary member of the Council and Association of the IBA, and Martin Solc, President of the International Bar Association (IBA).

Other relevant personalities from Latin America participated in the same Congress. The magnate Carlos Slim, president of Grupo Carso, who presented the paper on Challenges in Civilizing Changes.

The International Bar Association (IBA) is the main international organization of professionals of international law, being integrated by lawyers and law societies. It relies on more than 190 associations of lawyers, being present in more than 160 countries.
